Haven't been to a place like this in years. Friendly neighborhood centered atmosphere with good food.
the best tuna fish sandwich in augusta. if your missing a home cooked meal this is the spot.
Funny story about this place, a coworker swore to me that they dont serve sandwiches. They do. They have a lunch line with a few cooked entrées like meatloaf, fried chicken, and sides, but also make an array of sandwiches. The bread is typical store bought loaf, I'm pretty sure the chicken and tuna salad are made on location. A decent bite to eat in a slightly sketchy area.
Great tasting food. Well price!
It has good food
Decent food. The staff sort expects you to know how to order here when you get here. There are hand drawn menu fragments around the store, and your not sure what you can and cannot order give the day and time.
Like a stepping back in time-- hot lunch or sandwiches. A real locals spot without any bells or whistles but always friendly service and consistent food quick.
Food is amazing I can't rate them high enough .... If your best definitely try it
Love their turkey sandwich and French fries always made to order which is always a plus. They can work on getting their call in orders correct but great service.
Good amount of variety and the food was good.
Great lunch and meeting place
They are now closed. They had some great sandwiches and good food but unfortunately they've closed as of today (2/16/2018) to sell their building to another developer apparently. They've been a fixture in the city for a very long time.
Clean and good food
Had the fried chicken... should have grabbed a sandwich...
Simple, old fashioned, and yummy. They have great sandwiches like egg and chicken salad. They also had breakfast and lunch specials like lasagna that varied by the day. They also had a bunch of different sides, I had the mac and cheese and it was good. Just don't expect anything out of the ordinary here, though that's not necessarily a bad thing! This is an older establishment, but very clean. The service was friendly and fast. It's also a great value. I would recommend dropping in!
Awesome
Best sandwich in Augusta try the dinner special s
Great sandwiches, and amazing meatloaf!
Decent food and pricey!2 sandwich city special and a pecan pie and water.and not chips or drink included for $5.99 each sandwich and small roll!I lived in Augusta, GA for 22 years and my first and last time visit!
unreasonable towing policies
Did not appreciate the pricing. Had to pay price for a full meal ..only got meat and one side Very dissatisfied in the service today!
Great place to see and be seen for bfast or lunch
Pretty pricey and not that much food given to you. So if you are on a budget this is not the place to eat. You probably could make two meals at home for the price you pay for one here.
We will miss this overpriced lunch dump
Great down home cooking for a reasonable price!
Great food prices are a little high.
I can only speak to the breakfast experience, but we were so disappointed in Sandwich City. While it could be a great local spot, it's way overpriced and completely mediocre. The food was slow despite few customers, the coffee was watered down, our order was wrong when it came out, my husband's gravy was cold, and rather than real hashbrowns, they just deep-fry the fast-food patties, and honestly, McDonald's does them much better. Wish I had a better report, but we won't be returning. :(
Delicious home cooked meals.
Great food
This place has really went down since the new management has taken over. The older gentlemen that worked there could really throw down in the kitchen, along with his staff. The food is horrible now. They may be a little more courteous but I miss the good food. The fried chicken didn't have any batter on it one time, the next it tasted just like grease. Their macaroni is gross now along with everything else. Bring back the other cook. I personally, along with my colleagues, do not go there anymore. 209 is a way better alternative if you want southern food that tastes good.
Food is delicious fair price great parking
I have loved Sandwich City since 1974! It was always so good. Some people buy a restaurant and and change out the menu. Well thank God Mike didn't change a thing except added a hot bar, which is great. He didn't change any of the sandwich recipes and it is still like it was 40+ years ago! If you've never been, you need to check it out!
Great place to have lunch... From home cooking to sandwiches, soups and wonderful salads... Also you get to see all the true Augusta leaders... And maybe a friend are two.
Good sandwiches, quiet atmosphere, with reasonable prices.
Been eating at Sandwich City for the past 30 years. Faces have changed but the food is always good, fast and the service is friendly, both for breakfast and lunch.
The mac and cheese was overcooked
